London, UK: The University of London Computer Centre (ULCC), the leading IT service provider to the UK education sector, and Ephorus, the Dutch-based provider of plagiarism prevention, today announced a new strategic partnership.
The partnership will enable customers of ULCC's Hosted Moodle Service to seamlessly access the full range of Ephorus plagiarism prevention services, directly from within their virtual learning environment.
'As one of the largest providers of hosted Moodle services to the UK education sector, we are excited about our partnership with Ephorus. It will allow us to offer an alternative plagiarism prevention solution to our 150+ HE & FE customers across the UK. In doing so we are not only offering a broader choice but we can also help for customer feedback to be incorporated into future Ephorus software releases' said Richard Maccabee, Director of ULCC.
Joep Chappin, Ephorus founder said: ‘We are excited to partner with ULCC. Ephorus, just like ULCC, has an educational philosophy, therefore we fit together perfectly. Ephorus believes that educational services must be open, flexible and easily fit with existing systems. By working with ULCC we will benefit from its reach in the UK education market and hope to drive collaborative development of the Ephorus plagiarism prevention software.'
Ephorus plagiarism prevention is easy to use. Integrated in Moodle, Ephorus checks every essay and thesis automatically, comparing student submissions with billions of sources on the Internet and papers, previously submitted at your institution. While improving the quality of education, Ephorus saves you time and reassures you that your students are doing their own work.
