PaperPlus – the stores division of Unisource Worldwide, Inc. – recently completed its 2nd annual campaign to collect toys and gifts for the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign.
Toys for Tots has been an official activity of the Marine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve since 1995. Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped toys from participating businesses and social organizations to distribute to needy children within their local community. It is estimated that Toys for Tots program has distributed more than 469 million toys to more than 216 million children to date.
Beginning in November 2013, all PaperPlus stores became official Toys for Tots drop off locations.
Salt Lake City PaperPlus Store Manager Ken Johnson said, “We had a super-successful Toys for Tots program this year. We filled up two huge boxes with toys. After the Marines picked up the toys we received another 30 toys that the Marines came back for. Our customer participation was excellent!”
PaperPlus Vice President and General Manager Glenn Shiroff added, “Participating in Toys for Tots gives us an opportunity to give back to the communities that have helped make us successful.”
