PaperPlus – the stores division of Unisource Worldwide, Inc. – recently completed its 2nd annual U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots campaign.
Toys for Tots has been an official activity of the Marine Corps and an official mission of the Marine Corps Reserve since 1995. Toys for Tots collects new, unwrapped toys from participating businesses and social organizations to distribute to needy children within their local community. It is estimated that the Toys for Tots program has distributed more than 469 million toys to more than 216 million children to date.
Beginning in November 2013, all PaperPlus stores became official Toys for Tots drop off locations.
Charlotte PaperPlus Store Manager Tim Kingery said, “Our Assistant Store Manager, Stephen Knorr, drove our program, and I want to thank him for his efforts in making this year’s Toys for Tots program a success. Stephen and our amazingly generous customers made certain that we had a box full of toys.”
Glenn Shiroff, PaperPlus Vice President and General Manager, added, “Participating in Toys for Tots gives us an opportunity to give back to the communities that have helped make us successful.”
