Robert Ray’s business, Caring Transitions of Greater Washington D.C., was recently recognized with two Excellence in Marketing Awards from EstateSale.com - Most Viewed in the State and Top 50 Most Viewed in the Country.

The business, which first launched in September of 2011, specializes in organizing and managing senior moves, downsizing, liquidation of belongings and estate sales. Caring Transitions of Greater Washington D.C. serves Chevy Chase, Bethesda, Silver Spring, greater D.C and Arlington, Virginia.

According to the award letter from EstateSale.com, these awards recognize Ray’s placement in the top 50 out of 2,300 estate sale companies that used http://www.EstateSale.com during 2013 and the top viewed company in Maryland.

“I had no idea I was among the top viewed companies. For me, being recognized means that while I’ve worked to provide the best service possible for my clients, I’ve also been making an impact on a larger scale,” Ray said. “We have more than 1,000 estate sale followers, so when I send an email or an update, we often have people calling to ask if they can buy the items outright. It’s not uncommon to have a variety of items guaranteed as sold even before the sale opens.”

In addition to posting sales through EstateSale.com, Ray uses Caring Transition’s in-house online estate sale system, Craigslist and even newspaper ads to get the best outcomes for his clients.

Ray, who is married with two children, has a background in ministry. He first became interested in Caring Transitions when he worked in the hospital and with hospice care.

“I’ve always enjoyed working with seniors and I saw a true need for the services Caring Transitions provides. With my background and my ability to bring a different level of counseling to the process, I’ve done a lot of work with real estate professionals, funeral homes, churches and residents who are either looking to clear out an estate of a loved one or just downsize and de-clutter. Our bonded and insured employees can even help with document shredding,” Ray said.

In addition to his expertise and experience, Ray also uses the Caring Transitions planning software to assist with space planning, which can be a big help when you’re looking to downsize.

“We can look at the furniture and items you have in the house currently and compare the space of your new home. Through using our software, you can know upfront what’s going to fit in the new place and what we should look at selling. It takes the guess work out of everything,” he said.

“Being the owner of Caring Transitions has really given me a new sense of purpose because I know my involvement is making a difference for our clients. I bring a sense of calm and ease to an often confusing, frustrating and sad situation,” Ray said.

Founded in 2006, the Caring Transitions franchise has been a trusted and highly respected national company leading the way in senior moving, household liquidations and estate sales management in dozens of cities across the United States. Caring Transitions is part of the International Franchise Association, the Small Business Association’s Franchise Registry, VetFran and Minority Fran.
“We’re so proud of Robert and the strides he has made with his franchise in two-and-a-half years. Winning these awards is a statement to the effort he’s putting into getting the best turnaround for his clients’ estate sales,” Caring Transitions President Chris Seman said.

Salem, NH (PRWEB) January 24, 2014

The TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®, recently donated $8,400 to Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) in support of its nationally recognized Advantage Program at SNHU’s Salem Center as part of the bank’s commitment to giving back to the community.

SNHU’s Advantage Program enables students to earn an associate degree in liberal arts in just two years in a unique program, which offers small class sizes, 12-week terms, morning classes held 8 am to noon four days a week, tutoring and more at a substantial discount off full-time undergraduate day school tuition. Students have the option of continuing their education, earning a bachelor’s degree, at Southern New Hampshire University’s main campus in Manchester, N.H., at one of the university’s five regional centers or online. The funds from the TD Charitable Foundation will enable the Salem Center to create a new academic support center specifically for the Advantage Program.

The grant will allow SNHU’s Salem Center to provide additional support to foster success in exam and research paper preparation as well as a quiet space for students to study, take tests and access technology. According to Laura Corddry, director of the SNHU Advantage Program, the center will also have resources such as textbooks, computers and supplies, available for students.

“Many of our students come to our Advantage Program needing additional supports with their academics,” said Corddry. “This grant will enable us to significantly build on the tools and resources currently available to allow our students to fully succeed.”

A staunch commitment to active involvement in the local community is a vital element of the TD Bank philosophy. TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank® and the TD Charitable Foundation provide support to affordable housing, financial literacy and education, and environmental initiatives, many of which focus on improving the welfare of children and families.
